The Eco Club of Sacred Heart Sr Sec School, Chandigarh, celebrated Van Mahotsav 2025-26 at the auditorium, bringing together students, teachers and distinguished guests to promote afforestation and environmental conservation. The programme began with a prayer service and the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by Dr Sunil Kumar, IFS, Rev Sr Venita Joseph, Sr Anupa, Rev Sr Alvina, and Sr Usha. Dr Kumar, a renowned environmentalist, was welcomed with a sapling and introduced to the audience, highlighting his achievements in environmental science. The event included sapling plantation, a soulful song, thought-provoking skit, ramp walk, poetry recitations and a Gidha performance. Winners of the inter-house environment quiz were felicitated and the chief guest shared words of wisdom. The event concluded with a vote of thanks and the students singing the Green Anthem, promoting sustainable living and eco-consciousness.
