Sacred Heart Senior Secondary School, Chandigarh, inaugurates QR code system for its herbal garden
In a unique and innovative move to promote environmental awareness and sustainability, the Eco Club of the school inaugurated a QR code system for its herbal garden. This initiative aims to provide visitors with detailed information about the various plants in the garden and their medicinal uses through an easy scan of the QR codes placed beside each plant. Upon scanning the QR codes, users will have access to in-depth details about each plant, including its medicinal benefits, growing conditions, and traditional uses. In a gesture of community engagement, the Eco Club organised an event to involve the parents of the students. Parents were invited to explore the herbal garden, where they were given a tour of different plants. This initiative not only served as an educational experience but also as an opportunity to highlight the importance of plants in our daily lives and health. During the event, parents were also presented with ashwagandha saplings, a symbol of the school’s commitment to promoting plant-based wellness and sustainability.
