A one-day mega event was held at the school under the guidance of Principal Sr. Gracy MD. Students from 15 distinguished ICSE and ISC schools participated in various literary competitions organised on the occasion. Renowned educationist Nirmal Kaur was the chief guest , Dr. Viking Bhanoo, the first doctor in the world to climb Mount.Everest and Sharanjit Kaur, Principal New Angel Public School, Zirakpur, were the guests of honour. Sanjeev Bharadwaj, Zonal Coordinator, was the organiser of this literary event. All the participants gave an outstanding performance in various literary events . Sacred Heart Senior Secondary School, Sidhpur won the first prize, Auckland House School Shimla was second and Kullu Valley Senior Secondary School, Ramshilla was third. The distinguished guests and the winners were awarded by the host school.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.

The Tribune, the largest selling English daily in North India, publishes news and views without any bias or prejudice of any kind. Restraint and moderation, rather than agitational language and partisanship, are the hallmarks of the newspaper. It is an independent newspaper in the real sense of the term.

The Tribune has two sister publications, Punjabi Tribune (in Punjabi) and Dainik Tribune (in Hindi).
