The athletics team of the school won five gold, eight silver and seven bronze medals in the Chandigarh Sub-Junior and Junior Athletics State Championship 2024-25 organised at the Sports Complex, Sector 7, Chandigarh, by the Chandigarh Athletics Association. The event attracted over 3,500 athletes from across the state. The U-14 boys’ relay team of Dinkar, Kush, Madhav, and Shaurya won gold medal in 4x100 m relay race. Kush of Class VIII was first in the triathlon, which included 60 m, 600 m races and long jump. Sakshi of Class VIII got a silver in the pentathlon, excelling in five events (long jump, 60 m, 600 m races, shot put, and 80 m hurdles). Other silver medal winners were Dheeraj of Class XI (high jump), and Bani of Class XI (1,000 m race). The youngest participants Divjot, Virat, Vimarsh, Shubham, and Aveer brought silver in the 4x25 m relay. Bronze medal winners were Harkirat of Class XI (Arts) (800 m and 400 m races), Sakshi of Class IX (shot put) and the U-16 girls 4x100 m relay team of Gurnoor, Chetna, Harmanpreet, and Sakshi. The school received the Award of Honour Trophy for maximum participation. Athletics coach Surinder Pal Singh received a Rs 11,000 cash award for promoting athletic talent. Principal Anisha Ghuman congratulated all participants and the coach for their outstanding achievements.
