The school hosted a CBSE capacity building programme on ‘Educating parents about education’. The workshop sought to strengthen the vital partnership between educators and parents, underscoring the significant impact of parental involvement in a child’s learning journey. The resource persons were Raina Chona, Vice-Principal of Smart Wonders School, Mohali, and Jatinder Kaur, PGT (Biology) at DAV, Mohali. Their vast experience and dynamic delivery made the session highly engaging, incorporating interactive elements, hands-on activities, and thoughtfully prepared handouts to foster participation. Key discussions included an in-depth exploration of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, the paradigm shift in educational practices, and the growing importance of career counselling and awareness of emerging career opportunities for students. The workshop inspired teachers to rethink traditional methods and adopt more holistic and future-oriented approaches. The vibrant interaction throughout the session reflected the commitment of the educators to continuous learning and growth. As a token of appreciation, school Principal Anisha Ghuman presented potted plants to the resource persons and thanked them for the knowledgeable session.
