The school celebrated Republic Day on its premises. The celebration commenced with the unfurling of the Tricolour by Chairman Ravinder Pal Singh Hayer, accompanied by Director, Jagwinder Pal Singh Hayer, Adviser Vijaya Sidhu and Principal Anisha Ghuman. The hoisting of flag was followed by the rendition of the national anthem. To highlight the theme of this Republic Day, ‘Swarnim Bharat: Virasat aur Vikas’, Nindia (teacher) delivered an inspiring speech, emphasising the importance of the heritage and the progress India has made in the 76 years of becoming a Republic. Thereafter, teachers’ choir paid an overwhelming tribute to the country by their mesmerising patriotic song ‘Saare Jahan Se Achha’. Principal Anisha Ghuman highlighted the importance of upholding the values enshrined in the Constitution. The programme was attended by classes VIII, IX and XI students. Sweets were distributed to them. The programme filled the hearts of audience with feelings of profuse love, unity and utmost resilience towards the country. The celebration left an indelible impression on everyone’s heart with the respect for our motherland.
