Management committee members, principals and teachers of the school and Indira Gandhi National College, Ladwa, paid tributes to Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose on Parakram Diwas — his birth anniversary — by paying floral tributes on his portrait and Tricolour of India was unfurled on the occasion of “Har Ghar Tiranga, Har Din Tiranga Diwas”. School and College Management Committee president Pawan Garg in the presence of school secretary Ravinder Bansal, college Principal Dr Kushal Pal, school Principal Dherminder Khera, Vice-Principal Narender Sharma, Dr Ashok Verma, Sanjeev Mandhan, teachers and students unfurled the flag in the sports complex of the school under the banner ‘Har Ghar Tiranga, Har Din Tiranga’. January 23 is celebrated as Subhas Chandra Bose’s birth anniversary, Tiranga Diwas and Foundation Day of Kurukshetra district. In his address, Pawan Garg described Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose as a nationalist, hardworking, determined and fearless personality who rejuvenated India’s freedom struggle through the slogans “Delhi Chalo”, “Jai Hind”, and “Tum Mujhe Khoon Do, Main Tumhe Azaadi Dunga”. By efficiently leading the Azad Hind Fauj, he shook the foundation of the invincible British Empire. School Principal Dherminder Khera said due to the tireless efforts of Kurukshetra MP Naveen Jindal, the Supreme Court of India had given the right to hoist the Tricolour to the common citizen of India and to commemorate this, the national flag was hoisted in the school.
