Delhi Public School, Ambala, is constantly striving to make students responsible and aware citizens by conducting online activities for the all-round development of the students. The effort was to motivate the students to express their gratitude and affection towards Mother Nature. The students thanked the life-giving Nature through various activities while staying at home. Tiny tots planted their favorite trees and plants, made colorful pictures of them and sent them to their class teachers. Middle wing students participated zealously in online competitions i.e. colouring and making collages. Children made attractive posters and wrote slogans. Senior section students debated online and expressed their views through speeches on the importance of trees. In her message the Principal, Amita Dhaka, said as per the scriptures tree plantation was considered to be the noblest deed. Trees like tulsi, peepal, banana etc. have been worshipped in India and their medicinal benefits are well- known to the world. She advised students to grow more trees to keep the environment pollution-free and to maintain the ecological balance.


Saplings distributed among Bhavanites

Under the Paudhgiri Scheme of Government of Haryana, Bhavan Vidyalaya, Panchkula celebrated Vanmahotsav. Various varieties of medicinal plants were distributed to the students of Class VI to XII. Approximately 600 Bhavanites enthusiastically participated in the event and collected the plants. Keeping in mind the Covid protocols, 'Drive through' method was initiated. The plantation drive was organized jointly by NSS unit of the school and school core members under the guidance of madam principal. The principal, Gulshan Kaur exhorted the students to become the' Eco Warriors'. She motivated the students to carry forward the legacy of the founder of BVB KM Munshi who was also the initiator of Vanmahotsava.


Educative session for girl students

St. Vivekanand Millennium School, Pinjore conducted a virtual awareness session "I Care for the girl students of Class VI to X on " Menstrual Cycle and Hygiene Management ", under the guidance of Pallavi Bhardwaj, Vice Principal , the facilitator of the session. The chief objective of this session was to dispel the doubts and misconceptions related to menstruation and to make girls aware about it. Topic of the day was explained to adolescent school girls and they were given information on its various aspects like what is menstruation, calculation of the period, physical problems faced by girls during their periods and ways to handle it, maintaining personal hygiene during this period and importance of maintaining hygiene, avoiding the traditional methods of using dirty cloths and promoting use of sanitary napkins & importance of physical exercises, etc. A short movie focusing on the same was screened to the students. At the end of the session, the facilitator answere the queries of the students.


Bridging the gaps in learning St Joseph's Sr Sec School

The 'Bridge the Gap' programme conducted at St. Joseph's Sr. Sec. School, Chandigarh, was a golden opportunity for students to cover any 'gaps in learning' that might have occurred during these unprecedented times of the pandemic. The Primary I wing offered this course of learning apprehensively by organising a week-long bridge course. Teachers engaged with students through videos, interactive worksheets and activities like - Calligraphy, Reading Skills, Mathematical Operations, concept of various festivals, which were covered during this course. Primary II block also worked on clarifying the basic concepts in all subjects. This course helped students to recapitulate the fundamental topics of the previous year and connect it to the present year's syllabus in an innovative and fun-filled manner.


Students win CBSE certificates of merit

CBSE awards Certificate of Merit to .1% students in each subject. In March 2020 Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (Class XII), 17 certificates were bagged by the students of Pratap Public School, Sector-6, Karnal. Pulkit Aghi, the State Topper received it in 3 subjects i.e. Accountnacy, Business Studies and Maths. Mohit Goyal got it in Accountancy. Abhinandan was able to get it in Maths. Nikunj made it in Hindi. As many as 11 students: Palak Jain, Aakanksha, Aanchal, Aman, Gargi, Nipun Poria, Vedant Kukreja, Jaskirat Kaur, Khushi and Punya received this certificate in *Painting. The Principal of the school Dr. Puja Waalia Mann congratulated students for their academic accomplishment.
