An in-house capacity building programme on ‘Gender sensitisation’ was conducted on the premises of DC Model Senior Secondary School, Panchkula, with Manisha Negi as the resource person. The session was highly interactive and engaging, focusing on creating awareness about gender equality and sensitivity in daily life. Negi involved the teachers in various activities, including role plays and a quiz to identify gender perspectives. Through these activities, the participants not only reflected on their own perceptions but also learnt new vocabulary related to the topic. A key takeaway from the session was the role of teachers in inculcating gender sensitivity in classrooms.
