Science stream topper Bhawna Yadav wants to join IAS

Bhawna Yadav, who secured first position in Science Stream in Class XII, the results of which was declared today, wants to become an IAS officer to help poor people and the uplift of deprived sections of society.
A native of Kishan Garh village here, Bhawna’s father Bijender Yadav is a Library restorer at Ahir College in Rewari city while her mother Sarla Yadav is an Anganwadi worker in the village. Bhawna is the youngest among three siblings. She is the student Government Senior Secondary School in Bodia Kamal village here.
“I was expecting good marks in the exams but had not imagined that I will top the Science stream by scoring 496 marks. Besides attending extra classes in the schools, I devoted three to four hours daily at home for the preparation of my exams,” Bhawna told The Tribune.
She credited her success to her parents and teachers who encouraged her to give her best. Her mother Sarla Devi said Bhawna had been a topper in every class and hence her school teachers too were quite confident of her good performance. “She has not only made us proud by securing the first position, but also proved that girls are not behind boys in any field,” she added.
