“I was expecting good marks in the exams but had not imagined that I will top the Science stream by scoring 496 marks. Besides attending extra classes in the schools, I devoted three to four hours daily at home for the preparation of my exams,” Bhawna told The Tribune.

She credited her success to her parents and teachers who encouraged her to give her best.  Her mother Sarla Devi said Bhawna had been a topper in every class and hence her school teachers too were quite confident of her good performance. “She has not only made us proud by securing the first position, but also proved that girls are not behind boys in any field,” she added.
