A seminar on the ‘Legal awareness campaign for the elimination of violence against women’ was organised at the school under the leadership of Principal Shama Kukal, in collaboration with the school’s Legal Literacy Club. Advocate Sudhir Kumar Pandey from the Punjab and Haryana High Court sensitised the students to various legal provisions related to domestic violence, Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act, Dowry Prohibition Act, and the POCSO (Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act). The students participated enthusiastically and engaged in an interactive session, clearing their doubts and gaining valuable legal knowledge. Principal Shama Kukal appreciated the initiative of the Legal Literacy Club and emphasised the importance of such awareness campaigns in ending violence against women.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.

The Tribune, the largest selling English daily in North India, publishes news and views without any bias or prejudice of any kind. Restraint and moderation, rather than agitational language and partisanship, are the hallmarks of the newspaper. It is an independent newspaper in the real sense of the term.

The Tribune has two sister publications, Punjabi Tribune (in Punjabi) and Dainik Tribune (in Hindi).
