Sheela Rani Tangri DAV Public School, Bilga, students win sports trophy
Students of the school captured the overall trophy in the U-19 category in the DAV Sports national-level weightlifting championship. In the competition, Jaskaran Singh Johal, Anand Sheel and Sukhpreet Singh won gold medal and Gurmannat Singh won bronze medal. In national-level athletics, Sukhraj Singh won bronze medal in long jump in the U-19 category. Jasmine won bronze medals in 800 m and 1,500 m races and Jasmine Dosanjh won bronze medal in 4×100 m relay race. On their return to school, they were given a grand welcome by school Principal Sanjeev Gujral and staff members.
