Shishu Niketan Public School, Sec 5, MDC, Panchkula, organised a seminar on “Mental health challenges of adolescents: Digital technology and its impact”. The event was part of the 67th Child Guidance Counselling and Welfare Clinic, established under the Haryana State Council for Child Welfare. The seminar aimed to address the growing concerns related to the mental health of adolescents in the digital era. Renowned speaker Anil Malik, Divisional Child Welfare Officer, Rohtak, and State Nodal Officer, emphasised the dual impact of digital technology on adolescents. While it offers improved education and global connectivity, it also poses risks such as decreased face-to-face interactions, exposure to harmful content, and deteriorating mental and physical health. He also encouraged the students to develop willpower, self-confidence, and positive thinking.
