Shiv Nadar Foundation is joining hands with the Magic Years Educational Society to create a synergistic learning environment with the Foundation’s K-12 initiative, the Shiv Nadar School. With this partnership, Shiv Nadar Foundation will enter the pre-school education space, that forms the critical foundation for the future academic, emotional, and social success of students.
The Founder-Principal of the School, Ms Shirley Madhavan Kutty and her team of educators will continue to lead the school which is now being rechristened as ‘the magic years, a Shiv Nadar School’.
Founded in 1978, the magic years has consistently been rated as the top playschool in Delhi and follows a Montessori method of teaching. Offering a vibrant, multicultural learning environment, the school houses close to 200 students, 18 months to 5 years olds, from over 15 countries.
Col Gopal Karunakaran, CEO, Shiv Nadar School said, “Our aim at the Shiv Nadar School is to provide our students with engaging, varied and holistic learning experiences that help them grow up to be well-rounded individuals. The pre-k years present a critical opportunity to lay the groundwork for proficiency in key skills including social-emotional learning and are proven to impact academic performance in the primary grades and beyond. Our partnership with the magic years is a natural step for us towards integrating learning pedagogy in a way that the overall development of a child begins from an early age.”
Located in Vasant Vihar, Delhi, the magic years is spread over half an acre. Shiv Nadar Foundation aims to further enhance the school’s infrastructure to make it more learning-oriented and technology-enabled.
