The students and staff of the school came together to celebrate Republic Day with enthusiasm and patriotic fervour. The day began with a flag hoisting ceremony, where the national flag was unfurled by Principal Channi Dhillon. Students sang the national anthem with pride and passion. A special assembly was organised, where students discussed the significance of Republic Day and the importance of upholding the values enshrined in the Indian Constitution. School SST and Hindi teacher Promila delivered a lecture, enlightening students about the history and significance of Republic Day. The school conducted a declamation competition, where students performed roles of different republic reformers, dressed in attire to match their characters. The competition was a huge success, with students showcasing their talent and creativity.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.

The Tribune, the largest selling English daily in North India, publishes news and views without any bias or prejudice of any kind. Restraint and moderation, rather than agitational language and partisanship, are the hallmarks of the newspaper. It is an independent newspaper in the real sense of the term.

The Tribune has two sister publications, Punjabi Tribune (in Punjabi) and Dainik Tribune (in Hindi).
