Exhibition on `Partition Horrors Remembrance' Day at HSIS Public School, Phase 7, Mohali
The school observed ‘Partition Horrors Remembrance Day’ with an exhibition designed to help students and the community to realise the deep agony and suffering experienced by people during the Partition of 1947. The exhibition highlighted the immense loss of lives and families, bringing to light the tragic events that occurred on August 14, a date etched in the history of India. Projects and models prepared by students depicting pain of sufferers were displayed. A poster-making competition was organised as part of the event, allowing students to express their understanding and emotions related to the theme. Principal Inderjeet Kaur Sandhu remarked, “This exhibition is a significant step in educating our students about the painful history of Partition.” School Director Pawandeep Kaur Gill stated, “Remembering the Partition horrors is not just about revisiting the past, but also about learning valuable lessons for the future.”
