A session on Matr Pitr Diwas was conducted during a special assembly. The day was marked with gratitude expressed by children towards parents for their self-less love and tireless effort to provide them a comfortable life. Students took this session as an opportunity to express their feelings for their parents. Rooted in Indian culture, students worshipped their mothers by lighting diyas and showering flower petals on them. The session witnessed many overwhelming moments that filled the hearts of audience with several emotions as everyone present there was made to recall numerous sacrifices of their parents. Students were counselled that honouring parents should not be limited to any specific day but our respect and love for them should reflect in our daily lives through words and deeds alike.
