Sports Day at Auckland House School for Boys, Shimla

The school marked a spectacular Sports Day for its Upper Primary Section. The chief guest was Reetu Sharma, Principal of Loreto Convent Tara Hall, Shimla, and the guests of honour were Michael A John, founding Principal of Auckland House School for Boys, and Smaraki Samantaroy, Director Principal, Auckland House School. The ceremony began with a grand guard of honour, followed by an impressive march-past featuring the school’s four houses — French, Matthew, Lefroy, and Durrant. The students’ discipline and coordination were on full display as they marched to the rhythmic beats of the drums. The event showcased a range of activities, including aerobics display by classes III to V, mesmerising yoga and gymnastics displays, flag PT display, exciting races and musical chair skating event, which received thunderous applause The sports day culminated in a prize distribution ceremony, where winners were awarded for their outstanding performances. The chief guest motivated the students to strive for excellence. The Sports Shield and Marching Cup was lifted by Durrant House, demonstrating their exceptional teamwork and sportsmanship. Vihaan Thakur of Class IV was announced as the Best Athlete. Principal Reuben T John delivered a heartfelt vote of thanks, acknowledging the efforts of students, teachers, and parents. The event concluded with the recital of the national anthem, filling the atmosphere with patriotism and pride.
