Sports Day celebrated at Shivalik Public School, Patiala

Sports Day was celebrated on Children’s Day for classes VI to XII at Shivalik Public School, Patiala. The programme began with a warm welcome speech, followed by a soulful school ‘shabad’ that created a serene atmosphere. Flag hoisting and an impressive march past showcased discipline and pride. After the oath ceremony, students performed energetic dumbbell and lezim exercises, highlighting teamwork and coordination. Vibrant cultural dance performances added colour and joy before the sports meet was formally declared open. The athletics segment featured exciting races — 100m, 200m, 400m, 600m, 800m, 1500m, and the 4×200m relay. Students participated enthusiastically, displaying speed, stamina, and true sportsmanship under the guidance of their sports teachers. Refreshment was also served to the students, adding a pleasant and energising touch to the celebration.
