St Anne’s Convent School, Chandigarh

The school conducted seminars by Abhinandan Bassi, Assistant Professor of Law, Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law, Patiala. School Manager Robert Fernandez and Principal Siji welcomed Abhinandan Bassi, a highly qualified and eminent resource person, with a bouquet. A seminar on the topics of Juvenile Justice Act, Rights of the Children and POCSO Act was conducted for schoolchildren. Bassi gave legal awareness to the students on the issues and strived to instil a sense of social responsibility to become good citizens of India. The seminar was informative and well presented. The second session of the seminar included the topic of sexual harassment at the Workplace and teachers' responsibility to ensure the rights of the child were safeguarded. The legal insight into various aspects of POSH was given to the teachers. The seminars were well presented, informative, specific and comprehensive and appreciated by all. Hubs of Learning member schools also attended the sessions. Principal Siji presented a memento as a token of appreciation to Abhinandan Bassi.
