The school observed National Girl Child Day with a week-long celebration. The event aimed at raising awareness and fostering a sense of empowerment among students towards the cause of gender equality. Parents and staff proudly showcased their commitment to the cause by uploading selfies with their daughters on various platforms, using hashtags #BBBP and #akamcelebratinggirlchildmwcd. An oath-ceremony on “Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao” was conducted across all classes, encompassing both physical and online modes. Students from classes I to XII pledged to eradicate gender-biased discrimination, ensuring the birth and survival of girls. Throughout the week, students engaged in public speaking and poster-making activities, delving into topics pertinent to ‘Beti Bachao Beti Padhao’, fostering dialogue and creativity. The culminating event witnessed a symbolic tree plantation on the school campus dedicated to the ‘Girl Child’. Principal Sister Siji addressed the gathering, urging girls to dream big and recognise their worth. She motivated them to become beacons of hope for their families, society, and the world at large.
