St Joseph's Sr Sec School, Sector 44-D, Chandigarh, radiated festive brilliance as it celebrated its annual cultural fest, Talent Trove 2025-26, under the inspiring theme "Sustainable Diwali Celebration". The celebration was honoured by the presence of distinguished dignitaries, including Saurabh Kumar, IFS, Chief Conservator of Forests and Chief Wildlife Warden, UT Chandigarh, as the chief guest, and Rex, a popular Radio Jockey and media personality, as the guest of honour. In line with the institution's inclusive ethos, the celebration saw participation from students of nearby government schools alongside Josephites. A range of competitions, including rangoli making, diya decoration, singing, dancing and craft exhibition, were organised separately for both groups to ensure equal opportunities and appreciation of diverse talents. During the event, Head Boy Akshat Soni shared his thoughts on celebrating a sustainable Diwali, inspiring everyone to enjoy the festival while preserving the planet's well-being. In her address, Principal Monica Chawla emphasised that true education must enlighten both the intellect and the conscience. She encouraged students to make mindful choices, celebrate with gratitude and adopt sustainability as a lifelong practice. The programme culminated in the felicitation of winners, whose performances and creations showcased both artistic excellence and ecological sensitivity.
