As many as 253 students, accompanied by 14 mentors, visited Pushpa Gujral Science City, Kapurthala. The day began on a literal high note with the Roller Coaster Simulator, an electrifying ride that blurred the lines between virtual and visceral. From there, students were catapulted into prehistory through a 3D Dinosaur Movie, where the Mesozoic Era roared back to life in brilliant cinematic clarity. The Laser Show – ‘India Through Laser’ painted the night sky with narratives of innovation and heritage, celebrating the spirit of scientific India in a symphony of colour, music, and movement. The Human Anatomy Pavilion felt like stepping into a living biology journal. The Evolution Gallery, showcasing life-sized models tracing Darwin’s theory of natural selection, sparked wonder in young minds as they visually traced humanity’s gradual march from primitive primates to space-faring beings. Then came a breath-taking crescendo — the immersive 3D experience on Earth’s landforms and seasons. Students journeyed from the blistering sands of the desert to the hushed beauty of snow-covered lands, dove beneath the sea, and reemerged into the lush breath of tropical greens. The final frontier awaited at the Dinosaur Park, where under a gleaming dome theatre, students explored the hard-hitting realities of climate change — its causes, consequences, and the urgent call for ecological responsibility.
