St Joseph's Sr Sec School, Chandigarh, celebrated 150 glorious years of the National Song "Vande Mataram". The event was organised in accordance with the directive issued by the District Education Officer, UT, Chandigarh, under the nationwide initiative of the Ministry of Culture, Government of India. The entire school connected virtually to witness the formal inauguration by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, marking the commencement of this historic year-long commemoration. Students across all classes stood proudly and sang 'Vande Mataram' in perfect harmony. A special assembly was also conducted on the school premises to mark the occasion. The programme commenced with a soulful rendition of 'Vande Mataram' by the school choir, followed by a thought-provoking speech that enlightened students about the rich historical significance and emotional depth of the national song. The Principal lauded the enthusiasm and discipline of the students, stating, "Commemorating 150 years of 'Vande Mataram' reminds us of our proud heritage and our duty as citizens to uphold the ideals of unity and service.
