St Mary's School, Mohali, commemorated Gandhi Jayanti with a special morning assembly, marking the 156th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, the Father of the Nation. The assembly began with a prayer, followed by a thought for the day centred on truth and non-violence. A teacher delivered a speech reflecting on Gandhiji's principles of simplicity, truth, and non-violence. Students also recited poems and slogans promoting peace and harmony. Addressing the gathering, the principal, Bijumon Thomas, reminded students the best way to honour Gandhiji is by practising cleanliness, truthfulness and mutual respect. He also encouraged active participation in the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan.
