A ‘Greenathon’ programme was organised at the school through the Army Training Command, Shimla. This year, the Territorial Army is celebrating its platinum jubilee and the programme was organised by 118 Battalion Infantry Grenadier Regiment. The main objective was to enlighten the students about environmental conservation, plantation and cleanliness. Col Navin Kumar of the Army Training Command (ARTRAC), Shimla, was the chief guest. He motivated the students to conserve the environment. Subedar AP Tripathi informed the students about the importance of nature, plantation and cleanliness. Teachers of the school Surendra Sharma and Salig Kumar informed the students about the ‘Swachhta Hi Seva’ campaign. Plants were distributed to all the students by the Army Training Command so that the environment can be protected. The students were also informed about the ill-effects of plastic.
