St Vivekanand Millennium School, HMT Township, Pinjore
The 25th Srijnoday – Vivekanand Smriti Samaroh, was held at BR Ambedkar Auditorium. Nearly thousand persons in the hall sat with eyes filled with pride, deeply moved by the powerful depiction of Swami Vivekanand’s journey. The primary objective of Srijnoday was to disseminate Swami’s ideology and philosophy, emphasising holistic development — spanning physical, mental, emotional, social, and spiritual growth — among students. The interschool activities were meticulously designed under the themes of Gyanoday, Aabhasoday, Bhavoday, Kalaoday, and Pranoday, catering to students from LKG to Class XII to unearth and nurture the diverse talents that lie within each student. This year, 367 A1 grade holders were felicitated with gold medals, certificates and literature of Swami Vivekanada. Two schools, DC Model Sen Sec School, Sector 7, Panchkula, and DC Montessori Sen Sec School, Sector 13, Chandigarh, were jointly honoured with the coveted Running Trophy. The chief guest was Swami Bhitiharananda, secretary, Ramakrishna Mission Ashram, Chandigarh. Dr KM Pathak, vice-president, School Management Committee, and Col NR Babarwal, member of the committee, and MK Bhatia, industrialist, graced the occasion. Principal Dr Piyush Punj congratulated all participants and extending his deepest appreciation to the schools, specially their Principals, whose contributions made the event a monumental success.
