The school organised a Grand Folk Dance Festival in collaboration with North Zone Cultural Centre, Patiala, and Sanskar Bharati, Panchkula unit. Shakti Rani Sharma, MLA, Kalka, was the chief guest and special guest was Naveen Anshuman. The programme commenced with greeting of the guests with flower bunch, melodious song and welcome speech of Principal Dr Piyush Punj. About 120 artistes from all over India gave mesmerising performances. The programme beautifully showcased the traditional and cultural dance forms from various Indian states. It included Ghat Dance from Himachal Pradesh, Pung Cholom and Dhol Cholom from Manipur, Thangta Dance, Balti Dance from Ladakh, Mathuri Dance from Telangana, Hojagiri Dance from Tripura, Purulia Chhau from West Bengal, Bihu Dance from Assam, and Siddhi Dhamal from Gujarat. These performances highlighted India’s diversity and rich cultural heritage, offering us a glimpse into the vibrancy of our traditions.
