The 161st birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda was celebrated as National Youth Day on the premises of the school. The programme started with the garlanding of the statue of Swami Vivekananda and the recitation of Swami’s ‘dhyan mantra’ and its explanation. After that, schoolteachers shared the stories of Swami Vivekananda’s life. Principal Dr Piyush Punj threw light on the life of Swami in detail. He had a detailed discussion on the year’s theme ‘Everything is in the mind’. NSS students of classes XI and XII participated in a walkathon in a district-level programme at Sector 5, Panchkula. The chief guest, Gyan Chand Gupta, Speaker, Haryana Legislative Assembly, was present. Students participated in the rally promoting the seven concerns given by the Ppeaker for the welfare of the Panchkula region.
