St Xavier's School, Panchkula, successfully hosted the ICSE Schools Debate Competition for the Chandigarh Region, drawing participation from several leading schools. The event featured spirited exchanges and showcased the eloquence, clarity and critical thinking of young debaters. Mr Vivek Atray, former IAS officer, acclaimed author and motivational speaker, graced the occasion as Chief Guest. In his address, Mr Atray praised the participants for their confidence and articulation, and offered valuable insights into public speaking and leadership. Principal Mr George S. Shear expressed pride in hosting the event and encouraged students to continue voicing their opinions with conviction and respect. "Debating is not just about winning an argument, but about learning to listen, think and respond wisely," he remarked. A panel of esteemed judges evaluated the performances. One judge noted, "The passion and preparation displayed today reaffirm our faith in the potential of the next generation." Adding cultural vibrancy, students presented performances that highlighted the school's artistic talent.
