The school celebrated 42nd Founder’s Day to commemorate its founder, Late Andrew Gosain, and to appreciate his vision and mission that led to the establishment of the school. The celebrations started with prayers invoking blessings of Lord Ganesha’s and followed by the performance of yoga club students. Principal Dr Ivorine Castella was welcomed with an invocation song, followed by a heartfelt address by a student. The school choir sang an exquisite song. This further ensued into a scintillating dance extravaganza by classical groups joined by music teachers Sakshi Rauthan and Sangeeta Bose. Classes XI and XII students participated in a presentation on a start-up and creating school bulletin board. Classes VII to X took part in doodle art, emulation and paper collage. Classes IV to VI students indulged in paint illusion, cloth bag-tags and creating newspaper. The primary wing of the school participated in paper hat, paper bag, clay plates, stands and finger puppet activity. Additional Principal Chandan S Patwal reminisced the journey of J Gosain from the day he was a humble teacher to the establishment of St Xavier’s Group of Schools in Tricity. Principal Dr Ivorine Castellas appreciated the contribution of all students and staff members in putting up such a wonderful show.
