The sports department of the school organised its 20th edition of St Xavier’s Basketball Trophy-2024, an annual inter-school basketball tournament for U-16 girls. The tournament was played on knockout basis, wherein 10 teams from various schools of the Tricity. The final match was played between St Xavier’s Chandiarh and PM Shri Kendriya Vidyalaya, AFS, High grounds. Due to persistent rain, the match could not be continued and both the teams were declared joint winners. Jasmira Kaur of Saupin’s, Chandigarh, was awarded as ‘Best Hustler’. ‘Player of the Tournament’ was awarded to Pratistha Rawat of St Xavier’s Senior Secondary, Chandigarh. Principal Dr Ivoirine Castellas congratulated the winners. Chairman I William gave away the prizes to all winners and officials.
