Utkarsh Sharma, a Class XII student of the school, became the state topper in the National Standard Examination in Biology, 2023, conducted by the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research, Mumbai. He has been placed among the top 1 per cent of 230 candidates of the state/Union Territory of Chandigarh. His remarkable achievements have not only brought glory to the school but also become a source of inspiration for other students.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
