Students of Pre-Nursery and Class I-B of Bhavan Vidyalaya, New Chandigarh, presented special assemblies to honour the life and teachings of Mahatma Gandhi. The Pre-Nursery students set the tone for the celebrations with their innocence and enthusiasm. Dressed in white attire, they looked endearing as they recited Gandhi’s famous quotes and joined together in singing “Raghupati Raghav Raja Ram”, filling the atmosphere with devotion and joy. Carrying the spirit forward, the students of Class I-B presented a vibrant and meaningful assembly ahead of Gandhi Jayanti. A short skit showcasing important events from Gandhi’s life, followed by a colourful patriotic dance, beautifully highlighted his timeless values of truth, non-violence, and simplicity. Their Punjabi facilitator reinforced these values, inspiring the young learners to imbibe them in daily life. Principal Inderpreet Kaur lauded the young Bhavanites for their commendable efforts, praising both their execution and enthusiasm. She reiterated the importance of practicing Gandhi’s principles in daily life, reminding everyone that living by Bapu’s philosophy is the truest tribute to the Father of the Nation.
