Students get a Teej treat at Prakash Public School, Karnal

The students celebrated 'Teej' on the premises. Through the celebration, children learnt the essence of the festival which marks the onset of monsoon season signifying prosperity, love and devotion. The children were encouraged to wear traditional outfits and also shared traditional sweets like 'ghevar' and 'phirni'.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
