Students from Classes I and II of Guru Nanak Foundation Public School, Chapparchiri, showcased their artistic skills through diya and candle decoration. Class III students expressed their festive spirit in a poetry recitation on themes like "My Best Diwali" and "Festival of Lights." Class IV participated in a storytelling competition, while Class V students displayed their creativity by making lanterns, torans, bandhanwars and other decorative crafts. Students of classes VI and VII engaged in a thought-provoking debate on the topic "Crackers vs. Environment - Pros and Cons," sharing views on celebrating Diwali responsibly. The celebration concluded with an inter-house rangoli competition for classes VIII to XII, where vibrant designs reflected the joy and cultural essence of the festival. The week concluded with a special assembly by senior students of Upkaar House. The assembly comprised shabad recitation, speech, dance and a play dedicated to the occasion. The Principal appreciated the efforts of students for organising such meaningful activities. She encouraged everyone to celebrate eco-friendly Diwali. She also emphasised that festivals are a reflection of our culture and values and students should uphold them with pride and responsibility.
