Poster-making event on balanced diet

As part of ‘Poshan Pakhwada celebrations’ in AKSIPS-41 Smart School, Chandigarh, a poster-making competition (virtual) was organised for students of classes V to VIII. Students made beautiful posters and learnt the importance of eating a balanced diet and how it plays a vital role in our overall growth. The activity enhanced the creativity skills about maintaining of the children along with their good health. Drishti of Class VIII bagged the first prize, Ritvik of Class VIII came second, while Vanshika of Class V secured the third position.

Online academic session ends

The online academic session 2020-2021 for the pre-Primary wing of Delhi Public School, Chandigarh, ended with celebrations, games and lot of fun which made the children feel special. With an aim of providing children with some excitement on the last day of their online class, the end of session day party was organised for children. The children made monster head gears and took part in various indoor games and other interesting activities. The games and activities boosted physical and mental agility of children. It was indeed an exciting, fun-filled and rejuvenating way to end the session.


Oakridge collaborates with three UK schools

Nord Anglia Education, popularly known as Oakridge International School, celebrated the joining of three of the UK’s leading boarding schools – Oxford International College, d’Overbroeck’s, and Oxford Sixth Form College.

Nord Anglia is acquiring the schools from Oxford International’s founders and institutional shareholder Bowmark Capital. Brian Cooklin , Managing Director, India, Nord Anglia Education said, “I am delighted to welcome the three new schools and stressed Oakridge is dedicated to nurturing responsive and motivated students through a dynamic and success-oriented education programme”. Principal Ramanjit Ghuman said Oakridge is regarded as one of top International Schools with its high standards of teaching methodology, technology collaboration, and global culture in every aspect of learning.


Pupils come up with ‘Free Library’

Globalites, Aryan Laroia, a student of Class X of Gurukul Global School, Mohali, and Alisha Laroia, a student of Class VIII, have come up with the concept of ‘Free Library’ that is “Take a book, Leave a book” which is of great value to the needy children. To encourage and motivate them in their social initiative, Gurukul Global School donated 644 books on the PTM to their library.
