Students of Global Wisdom International School, Dera Bassi, visited several state-of-the-art laboratories, including those focused on electronics, optics and nanotechnology. The lab visits offered the students a unique opportunity to witness live demonstrations of modern scientific instruments and ongoing research projects. A one-day seminar on "Girls in Science" was organised at CSIR-Central Scientific Instruments Organisation (CSIO), Chandigarh, to encourage young girls to pursue careers in science and technology. The event aimed to promote gender equality in STEM fields and inspire the students through hands-on scientific exposure. Eminent scientists from CSIR-CSIO delivered motivational talks highlighting the achievements of women in science and emphasising the importance of innovation, creativity and research in building a better future. The event benefited around 30 students, helping them understand the real-world applications of science and motivating them to pursue higher studies in scientific fields. The initiative was widely appreciated for its contribution to empowering girls and fostering scientific curiosity among the youth.
