Talk on substance abuse at St Mary’s School, Chandigarh

DSP Jaswinder Singh, SDPO (South) was a guest speaker at the school for a talk on substance abuse. DSP Jaswinder shared anecdotes and real references in order to tell young students about the harmful effects of substance abuse. Inspector Satinder Kumar, SHO, Police Station, Sector 34, Chandigarh, informed students about the growing menace of drugs and how it affects the family and the society by large. ASI Varinder Singh (I/C ANTF) shared first-hand experiences and tips on how to avoid peer pressure for drug indulgence. The team from the Cyber Crime led an awareness session talking about digital arrest, social media trolling, phishing, monetary scams and extortion. The interactive dialogue allowed students to raise their queries for a safer and prosperous life. ‘VADA’ (Victory Against Drug Abuse) was the main motto of the event. Chairman Reverent Father Aji K Chacko and Principal Neha Kashyap extended their deepest gratitude towards the Chandigarh Police for this landmark initiative.
