Students of classes I to V of the school visited a renowned Cactus Garden in Sector 5, showcasing a vast collection of cacti and succulents. The educational outing aimed to foster an appreciation for nature and promote environmental awareness among the students. During the visit the students were fascinated by the diverse range of cacti and succulents on display. They also learnt about the unique adaptations of these plants from their teachers. The National Cactus and Succulent Botanical Garden and Research Centre, known as the Cactus Garden, is a 7-acre cactus garden in Sector 5 of Panchkula, Haryana, and was established in 1987, and is known for its rare and endangered species of Indian succulent plants. It has more than 3,500 species of cactus and is the largest of its kind in Asia. Principal, Geetika Sethi said these visits are an enriching experience for the students.
