The Power Food Project, an in-house initiative under RIDS, provided students in Grade III, IV, and V with an opportunity to explore global balanced diets by analysing nutritional policies from Japan, Egypt and Italy. As part of the project, students created four healthy plates, each representing one country, ensuring the inclusion of essential food groups like carbohydrates, proteins, fats, minerals, and vitamins. They calculated nutritional values, recorded data in Excel, and showcased their creativity through visual presentations and artistic designs. The students also compared nutritional content using bar graphs, pie charts, line charts, and visual presentations. This project not only fostered critical thinking and creativity but also developed their data analysis skills while promoting awareness of balanced nutrition and diverse global dietary practices.
