The persistent toxicity
Has turned the blue seas dun.
All sea life runs to safety
For the destruction has now begun.
Rivers are hiding
From the sun’s cruel regard.
The rays pierce down and the wind beats hard
Stars turn invisible
From the clouds of smoke.
The heavens are now
Veiling with a smoky cloak.
With every blow from the axe
The tree cries and pleads.
But the woodcutter thinks it’s okay
Because the tree doesn’t bleed.
But the reason
That the world’s a mess
Is all because of the fact
That man is so reckless
The world has now
Nowhere to go
Where man has become
His brother’s foe.
We can’t just sit
And pretend to not care.
For the pain this destruction brings
We won’t be able to bear.
