The joy of dancing

Dance…. It’s the hidden language of a soul. Dance is a great way to express our feelings without saying anything.

Before joining my dance class, I was an introvert who had friends, but didn’t want to make new friends or was scared of meeting new people.

I overcame this phobia of socialising once I started dancing. I still remember when it was my first day of dance class, I was literally crying and telling my mom, “I don’t want to go! I don’t want to go! there are so many children!” and what not!

But mothers are mothers, she knew what was right for me and just pushed me into the class and now, it’s about to be a year since I joined MA dance studio and now I don’t miss my class even a single day.

Other than socialising, I have become more confident and optimistic. Earlier, when I went to a party or a wedding and I was asked to dance, I hesitated and refused feeling underconfident. But now I am the first one to hop on the dance floor.

Not just these, dancing has helped me with my flexibility, maintaining my physique, and in increasing my height as well. I would like to thank my mom, who gave me that necessary push to take up dancing as my hobby and helped me, to become a better version of myself.

At last, I would say that dance is the joy of movement and the heart of life and also one thing that our teacher tells us-

“Dance to express,

Not to impress”
