The Lawrence School, Sanawar, organises CBSE Capacity Building Training Programme
Committed to the implementation of National Education Policy, 2020 in letter and spirit, The Lawrence School, Sanawar, continues to prioritise the professional growth of educators, ensuring that they are equipped with the latest tools and methodologies to shape the future of education. Spread over the month of March, the school organised on its campus CBSE Capacity Building Training Programme designed to enhance teachers’ professional development in key pedagogical areas. The training, which focused on ‘Classroom Management’, ‘Experiential Learning’, and ‘Gender Sensitivity’ was held in three phases securing participation from over 130 educators. The first session, held from March 4 to 5, 2025, centred around ‘Classroom Management’. Over 60 teachers from various institutions took part in the sessions, which were led by expert trainers Neetu Jhatta and Sangeeta. The second training programme on ‘Experiential Learning’ took place on March 8 and 9, with a focus on Kolb’s Model of Experiential Learning. Led by Gosha Liberhan and Ram Kumar Sharma, the workshop attracted more than 70 participants. The third training session conducted by the subject expert Vega Sharma and Manu Tanwar Rohil on ‘Gender Sensitivity’ took place on March 21, in which more than 60 participants deliberated on various aspects such as gender roles, gender relations, gender gap, gender discriminations, etc. The resource persons made the sessions engaging and insightful, incorporating wit, humour, and ice-breaking activities to maintain an energetic learning atmosphere. Teachers actively participated in group exercises and exchanged innovative ideas on how to integrate experiential learning techniques into their teaching practices. “Our 139 acre campus is a living curriculum and we are committed to making it the best experiential learning lab by empowering our educators through training on all the pedagogical issues and methods,” said Himmat Singh Dhillon, Headmaster of The Lawrence School, Sanawar.
