The Millennium School, Bathinda celebrates Teej

The Millennium School, Bathinda, came alive with vibrant colours, cultural pride, and joyous celebrations during its grand Teej Tarang 2025 – a tribute to womanhood, tradition, and Punjabi heritage. The festival drew an overwhelming response from mothers and women across the city, who joined in with enthusiasm and festive spirit. Dr Rukhsar Showkat, Assistant Professor at Advanced Cancer Institute, and wife of the Deputy Commissioner, Bathinda, was the chief guest. The guests of honour included Mamta Khurana, DEO, Bathinda; Sunita Mittal, Director, Mittal Group of Industries; Gurvinder Kaur, Sub-Inspector, Bathinda; and Vandana Yadav from Basera Architect. Pushpinder Kaur Virk, Assistant Professor at Baba Farid College, was a special guest and judge for the ‘Miss Teej’ and ‘Little Punjaban’ contests. Highlights of the programme included solo dance performances, adorable ‘Little Punjaban’ contest for girls aged 4–7, and the vibrant ‘Miss Teej’ competition, which celebrated confidence, charm, and Punjabi elegance. Manreet Kaur was crowned ‘Miss Teej 2025’. Lively games such as Bindi Placement, Grab the Coins, Candy Cash, Musical Chairs, Boliyaan Game, and Tambola kept the energy high, while the Virsa Quiz added a traditional twist. Enthralling gidda performances and the spirited Dhamaal Mutiyaran Di segment lit up the stage with applause and excitement.
