There's a place I want to go to,

but it's out of my reach.

It's the same place I often visit in my dreams.

Some say the place doesn't exist.

Some even say I've gone mad.

But then I stop and ask myself-

is the place really that bad?

The place wasn't bad,

but the people were glad

by making me sad.

Pessimists overload.

I was looking for a happy road.

The dreams, the place,

were replaced by nightmares.

But then I realised

the people who seemed nice

were actually people in disguise.

All along I knew

the place wasn’t real,

but it existed in my heart.

Oh, how foolish the people were,

To think that they destroyed me.

and the place in my heart.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.

The Tribune, the largest selling English daily in North India, publishes news and views without any bias or prejudice of any kind. Restraint and moderation, rather than agitational language and partisanship, are the hallmarks of the newspaper. It is an independent newspaper in the real sense of the term.

The Tribune has two sister publications, Punjabi Tribune (in Punjabi) and Dainik Tribune (in Hindi).
