- Time management is very important while writing English paper. Utilise your ‘reading time’ judiciously.
- There are three sections of paper. During reading time only, select the questions you are going to attempt in Section B & C from the options provided. The comprehension passages must be read at least twice.
- Begin writing your paper with the section you are comfortable at. Sometimes students spend a lot of time with Reading Section (A) only, which bring stress and anxiety. Attempt all answers of a common section altogether.
- Adhere to the requisite formats in Section B (Writing Section). Use ‘coder’ for all writing tasks, ie collect ideas, organise them, draft, edit and revise.
- Underline (with pencil) the relevant points. Do not use colloquial/WhatsApp language/unparliamentary words anywhere. Write neatly and avoid grammatical mistakes.
- In literature, Section C, adhere to the word limit. Always add textual ‘value points’ in your answers. Keep your language simple.
- There maybe two parts of a question. Hasty reading may result in unintended omission.
- Keep last 10-15 minutes for revising your answers and highlighting value points of your answers.
