The school conducted an assembly to celebrate the Gurpurb of Guru Gobind Singh. Starting with soul-stirring shabads “Saas Saas Simro Gobind” and “Deh Shivaye Varmohe”, students of Class IX enlightened everyone with the life history of the Guru through poems, vaar and sakhis.

The staff and students were served ‘parshad’ thereafter. Principal Rani Poddar addressed the students and encouraged them to follow the path of truthfulness, bravery and unwavering faith. She said, “We should be thankful for the blessings we have received from the Almighty.”

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
