Students from classes VI to XII participated, displaying exceptional dexterity, discipline and deep reverence for the sacred art of turban tying. Prof G.S. Dhillon, General Secretary of the Governing Council, along with Gurnam Kaur Grewal, principal, presided over the event, commending the participants for upholding the dignity, symbolism and cultural pride embodied by the Sikh turban. The competition was further enriched by a panel of judges, including S Sarabjit Singh, senior journalist; S Sukhwinder Singh, renowned international turban-tying coach; and S Bhavjot Singh, GNPS alumnus and professional turban-tying coach. At GNPS, the turban was not merely tied — it was honoured. What unfolded was a captivating display of skill and devotion as students meticulously crafted each fold with symmetry and grace, transforming the arena into a vibrant tapestry of tradition and youthful zeal. The event not only celebrated tradition but also reaffirmed Guru Nanak Public School’s commitment to cultivating cultural consciousness, confidence and character in every learner, inspiring them to follow Guru’s ideals of uprightness, truth and service to humanity.
