UBS Athletics Kids Cup is back with season 2
The UBS Athletics Kids Cup is back with the second season, to energise schools beyond Mumbai now expanding its footprint in Pune and Hyderabad. In the first season itself, the UBS Athletics Kids Cup saw over 1,000 schools register and successfully engaged around 1,00,000 children in fun, inclusive and meaningful physical activity. This overwhelming response highlights the growing enthusiasm for athletics among India’s youth and the importance of sport in schools. The UBS Athletics Kids Cup, a grassroots athletics initiative supported by the UBS, is designed to encourage physical activity, teamwork, and sportsmanship among children. With the addition of Pune and Hyderabad, season two is set to be bigger, more dynamic, and more inclusive than before. “We are incredibly proud to see the UBS Athletics Kids Cup grow in India,” said Daniel Schenker, CEO of Dspowerparts, organiser of the UBS Athletics Kids Cup. “By extending the programme to new cities, we aim to nurture a love for sports in children and inspire the next generation of athletes.” Neeraj Chopra, Olympic gold medallist and UBS Athletics Kids Cup ambassador, shares his excitement about the program by saying: “It’s amazing to see so many kids in India discovering athletics in such a fun and accessible way.
